Dianastraße is a quiet residential street in Bilk, bordering Unterbilk. The Völklinger Straße local rail station is two minutes away, and the MedienHafen is only 15 minutes’ walk away. The Georg-Schulhoff-Platz tram stop is 300 metres away. A wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found within walking distance on Lorettostraße.

Unterbilk is a central area of Düsseldorf belonging to the Stadtbezirk 3 city district. The district’s main landmark is the Stadttor, an award-winning skyscraper erected over the Rheinufertunnel road tunnel’s southern exit. The most important employer in Unterbilk is the North-Rhine Westphalia state government with all its ministries. The MedienHafen (‘Media Harbour’) is home to the WDR public radio station and other cultural and creative businesses. Thanks to its proximity to the MedienHafen, Lorettostraße has become a focus for designer fashion, furniture and trendy restaurants. The district’s cultural highlight is the Kunstsammlung NRW art gallery, which has two sites: K20 on Grabbeplatz and K21 in the Ständehaus, a former parliament building.
